The following is a list of some of the routine services we provide . It is our policy that every patient is provided with a written treatment plan with associated prices before treatment begin.

  • check the health of your gums

  • full mouth oral cancer screening

  • digital x rays if necessary

  • written treatment plan and estimate

If you could benefit from orthodontics ( braces ) or any cosmetic treatment we will tell you.

Cleaning

A professional scale and polish should be carried out every 6 months to maintain healthy gums and tooth whiteness.

Fillings

Fillings may be required if you have a broken tooth or cavity. We provide white (cosmetic) fillings and silver (amalgam) fillings. You will be advised on the most appropriate option for you.

Fissure sealants

We provide all available preventive treatments . Fissure sealants are a painless way to prevent tooth decay . It is a liquid that flows into the fissures on the biting surface of the tooth and seals that surface off from decay.

Root Canal Treatment

A root canal may be required if the nerve in a tooth has died as a result of trauma or decay. If the nerve is injured or diseased then it can die and this often leads to sensitivity, toothache or a dental abscess. It can also lead to the tooth actually discolouring.

Dentures

If you have several missing teeth dentures may be required to replace these. Acrylic Dentures (plastic) are usually used to replace many teeth. They should both look good and feel great. Chrome Dentures (metal) are a good option if you have four or more teeth remaining. They provide extra tightness and a more lightweight feeling.

Crowns and Veneers

A crown is a tooth-shaped cover which is used to restore a decayed, broken, brittle or discoloured tooth or a tooth which has been replaced by an implant. It completely encloses the remaining tooth restoring its appearance and function. It can be made out of porcelain (ceramic), metal (usually gold), or a combination of materials. We use only the best available materials and labs to provide the most aesthetic result.

Bridges

This is a way to replace missing teeth with a tooth fixed in position ie non removable i.e. an artificial tooth is supported from adjacent teeth (or implants) to replace the tooth that has been lost.

Extractions

Unfortunately not all teeth can be saved and an extraction may be the only option. If an extraction is required  we will make it as easy as possible for you by using plenty of local anaesthetic and explaining everything to you as we go along.

Whitening

Professional Whitening is very safe and does not damage the teeth.
Whitening Trays – custom-fit trays prepared in the surgery allow whitening to be performed at home using gentle whitening gels.

Home kits have become more popular in recent years as they provide long lasting results at a level of whiteness tailored to your own preferences. Initial treatment usually takes one to two weeks - you stop when you are happy with the colour. The trays can be used every six months to maintain whiteness.
